Rails-to-Trails!
Unique shopping!

The Town of Victoria, in Lunenburg County, has recently refurbished a stretch of old rail bed, turning it into a unique trail for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. The one-mile stretch, which runs from the Pavilion in the town’s Railroad Park to the Washington Avenue Extension, has a minimal grade making for an easy hike, bike, or jog. The trail will eventually expand through the Victoria Railroad Park to Twin Cemetery Road.

The Town of Victoria… home to some very unique shopping. Washboards, old-fashioned washboards... believe it or not one of our staff was looking for old-fashioned washboards (to send to U.S. Troops in Afghanistan who have to do their own laundry by hand), and found washboards at a hardware store in Victoria. They are available from stores on the Internet but the price was very high, and with shipping costs the boards were astronomical. In Victoria the price, for these simple boards, was reasonable. While in Victoria check out all the stores.
